Hmm, that is weird. Your setups is like this?
domain.com/LANG1 and domain.com/LANG2?
Logged in as admin should always bypass CMP page, are you sure it is now somehow cached?
Hi Ales, thanks for getting back.
It’s domain.de and domain.com for DE/EN setup. And via WPML instructions, the “Auto sign-in and sign-out users from all domains” is checked under Languages tab – tried that on/off & logging out/in after every change.
Still, as an admin,on the frontend if I switch the language to the second language, CMP shoots up the landing page.
I’m out of options since WPML sends me your way.
Any ideas?
PS: following up on your cache suggestion…
I used Firefox’ “Forget page” to clear cache and Private window to avoid caching altogether. Still the same.
But then I tested on Edge and Chrome and the problem… doesn’t exist.
So it’s a FF issue somehow.

Hmm, that is super strange behaviour, I would suspect it is somehow connected to “auto sign-in and sign-out” WPML function, since it log out the user and and sign it back again. Maybe CMP kicks in before the sign in action.
But if that works on Edge/Chrome then I don’t think it is relevant. It might be something with different Cookies handling on FF.
I guess, if you disable CMP, then you are logged-in in FF after changing to another language.
Maybe as a workaround, you could set a bypass in CMP, and try it to use it in a FireFox, it sets a Cookie to bypass CMP. Just be aware, it will bypass CMP even when you are logged out.
But to be honest, I am out of ideas/options as well.
