Mosaic with elementor lightbox

    Hey Automattic,

    I really like the Mosaic function of Jetpack, but what I dislike is Jetpack’s lightbox. It looks outdated and it is not mobile friendly in my opinion. Is there a way to use the Mosaic function but use elementor’s lightbox?

    Hi there,

    You can do that. To disable Jetpack’s full-screen gallery go to your Dashboard > Jetpack > Settings > Writing and under Media toggle-off the Display images in a full-screen carousel gallery.

    Hey Fotis,

    Are you sure about that? Whenever I do that, the mosaic disappears, but I want to keep the mosaic but use it with elementor lightbox.

    Is that possible?

    It will disable our Carousel, but it won’t affect Elementor, so if that’s not working out, you may need to check with Elementor’s support.

    Thanks James, That’s true indeed. I just want to use the mosaic and the elementor lightbox. Though when I turn off the carousel the mosaic also doesn’t work anymore. So turning off the carousel was not an option for me. Therefore I decided to leave Jetpack behind unfortunately after 2 years, I am still looking for a decent mosaic plugin and if I don’t find it I might come back.

    I am not sure why this is resolved, but @macmanx I decided to reinstall jetpack again. You are indeed right that it seems to work correctly when just having the Mosaic tiles module turned on. Though apparently this is only visible in elementor editor and not on the page. Perhaps you know why?

    Ah it was marked Resolved on account of “Therefore I decided to leave Jetpack behind.”

    We can’t guarantee compatibility with third-party editors like Elementor, so you might want to check with them on this.
