Do you have the following feature Send Notification to Admin enabled under WP Membership -> Settings -> Email Settings in the plugins admin panel?

otherwise how would i expect it to work – except it doesn’t.

Also can you enable debug mode and carry out a test. Then check the log file to see if anything shows up. The following documentation can help.

an update.
it seems the prob was that it was not actually creating the Member.
i now see small message about WP username conflict, so i fixed that and now i got notifications.
i think i will turn off WP User sync
