    Hi,

I’m trying to connect our business to facebook via a login, its able to go through all the stages & then at the final hurdle it just seems to crash on the final page where it just says ‘connect pending’. I have spoke to Meta, as its usually there fault & their response was ‘To summarize our chat today, you have contacted us about difficulties connecting your WordPress to your Facebook page, Instagram page, ad account, and pixel, with the connection status remaining pending, and we have determined that the issue is likely due to a synchronization problem on the WordPress end, possibly caused by website caching or a server timeout, and suggested resetting the connection within your WordPress Facebook Business Extension settings and trying again in an Incognito browser, as well as reaching out to your web hosting provider or the plugin developer to resolve the issue.’.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @tseabridge90 ,

    Thank you for reaching out!

Upon reviewing your site, I noticed that the Meta Pixel is connected. Were you able to connect to the Meta pixel for WordPress plugin?

    Kind regards,
    Marija

Hi Tom, thanks for following up!

If you haven’t already, please do the following:

    • Temporarily disable any cache plugins you’re using and clear the cache
    • Reinstall the Meta pixel for WordPress plugin
    • Re-connect your site with the plugin

If the issue persists please share:

    • A screenshot of the page where you are seeing the issue
    • A list of the plugins your site is using (you can find it by navigating to Tools > Site Health > Info).
    • Are there any plugin-related errors in your debug.log?

    Kind regards,
    Marija

    Hi @marijastuntcoders

thank you for sending that over. I’ve attached an image, which shows the final stage where it doesn’t get through to connecting wordpress to meta. You’re able to see that in the text it says ‘We are passing your system user token back to .’ It should have the business portfolio or URL to where it goes next, but this isn’t showing anything. Let me know what you think.

    Hi @tseabridge90 ,

Thanks for following up, and you are right – it should be We are passing your system user token back to [site-url].

    Can you share the following:

    • A list of the plugins your site is using (you can find it by navigating to Tools > Site Health > Info).
    • If there are any plugin-related errors in your debug.log?

Also, have you tried checking the box, and if so, what happens then?

    Kind regards,
    Marija

Thanks for sharing the list @tseabridge90 !

The best course of action would be to:

    • Check & Remove any existing Pixel logic (per the Meta Pixel Helper extension, the site does have a Pixel connected)
    • Temporarily deactivate all caching plugins (WP Rocket, WP Rocket | Cache Dynamic Cookie, Perfmatters)
    • Clear the site cache
    • Reinstall the Meta pixel for WordPress plugin
    • Reconnect to your page

Please let us know if this fixes the issue.

    Kind regards,
    Marija

    Hi @marijastuntcoders

We’ve tried all of the above but still getting the same response at the end when it says its connecting.

We disabled WP Rocket, cleared all the caches & removed meta plugin etc.

    Thanks,

    Tom
