I installed CSV2Post and activated it. Is there an additional step I need to take to get the plugin screens to appear in my admin menu? I am only seeing C2P Content (with sub-menu options All Content Templates, and Create) and CSV 2 Post Update Ready (which gives me a screen saying there are no updates available).

In the demo videos on your site I can see a whole lot more menu options, that I don’t have. I stopped one of the videos to see the admin URL you are using, and it is ?page=csv2post_design – but when I try to go to that I am told I don’t have sufficient permission to access that page (I am an admin user).

Is there a step I have missed? Like do I need to upload a csv file first? I am not sure of the required format for that file.

    Thanks,
    Christine.

    Hello

The Update Ready screen shows a lot right now – too much. I have a task in the list to improve that.

However when that screen shoes there should be a button somewhere. It may be on the right side – easy to miss. Another thing to be changed and already changed in newer plugins that use the same update screen so such improvements will get around to CSV 2 POST.

Please find that button and from there you’ll get all the other screens.

    Thanks,
    Ryan.

Thanks! That worked. Yeah the wording needs to be changed, as it was not clear I needed to actually click that button. Especially since I had only just downloaded the plugin, so I was not expecting to have to update it already.

And WOW on the fast response, especially since I know it is stupid O’Clock in the morning at your place. Well done!

    Thank you.

I’m full-time on WP plugins right now. Tonight I’m working on WTG Portal Manager which will be used to create and maintain a portal per plugin.

CSV 2 POST is the first plugin to get such a portal.

Documentation will begin to trickle into the CSV 2 POST portal once the portal plugin is ready – so a lot to come from me and I feel I’m just getting started with WP so let me know if you ever feel WordPress.org is lacking a plugin or an existing plugin is lacking a feature.

    Hello WebTechGlobal,

I have installed your plugin and have kind of the same problem as geckogully. I can see the main configuratin screen, but no extra items. When I go to ?page=csv2post_design, ?page=csv2post_rules, ?page=csv2post_columns or anything like that, I get an insufficient rights error. I dont get any message regarding updates though.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

I don’t think csv2post_design is a valid page in the latest version but it used to be in previous.

    I think csv2post_design was changed to csv2post_content.

What version do you have installed?

Oh and geckogully the user who originally posted this thread will be getting notifications of this activity. You really should start new threads.

    Kind Regards
    Ryan
