Mega Menu does not work with default Elementor Header

    THE CURRENT ISSUE

    0) All plugins, theme, PHP, WP are up to date

    1) Can’t get the Elementor Header to open because I keep getting this error message
    “Sorry the content area was not found on your page”
    – I’ve ruled out every troubleshooting for this issue provided by Elementor documentation

    2) When I deactivate ElementsKit plugins, the Elementor Header displays fine (but still no mega menu templates). When I reactivate the ElementsKit plugins, I get the error message again. 

    3) When I switch to default theme, the Elementor Header displays with the ElementsKit mega menu items. When I use Elementor Theme HELLO, the Elementor Header will not display at all.

    NOTES

    – I have the Elementor Header set to display on all pages of the site
    – All ElementsKit modules and widgets are active

    Is this a CSS issue?Is there a conflict with ElementsKit and Elementor Header?Is this feature just not consistently functional?

    I’m still hopeful you can get this resolved.

    Hello @wardwork1 ,

    Thanks for explaining your problem and findings nicely. I will try to explain all your query one by one below –

    1) This is a common issue with Elementor. Please check this article from Elementor for the solution.

    2) If you have build any header using header footer builder from ElementsKit that will override any header if you have. But if you are just using our ElementsKit Nav menu widget (screenshot) in your Elementor header it should work fine as expected. Let us know more details after applying this method.

    3) With Hello Theme the megamenu should work fine also. In my development environment it’s working fine as expected. Please try to use our header footer builder for your header with our Nav menu widget (screenshot) or in your Elementor header template just use our Nav menu widget to get the megamenu feature to work.

    After following above solution if you still have issues please let us know. We will be glad to help you.

    I’ve read that article already (as mentioned in my previous posts), and ruled out all relevant factors.

    Still no resolution.

    RESPONSE TO POINT 2 AND 3

    2) I have only one header template on this installation. It is a native Elementor header template using ElementsKit meny widget. I don’t want to use ElementsKit header template, I want to use Elementor’s native header template with ElementsKit menu widget

    – This configuration does not work even though I was told that it would

    3) I was also told this configuration would work fine with Hello Theme but it clearly does not

    – It does work with default WP theme but I can’t use that

    I don’t know if this ticket is still being serviced but my site is completely broken until this gets resolved.

    This is a serious matter that needs immediate attention if possible.
