Media Metrics (AUDIO FILE)

Is there a way to track how many plays of a specific embedded audio file there have been?

The media library audio file linked below is embedded in the page included with this thread:

I can’t seem to find any indication of a ‘play’ in Google Analytics or Jetpack site stats – likely because clicking play isn’t a link.

is there any way to measure this as-is? Is there a way to add tracking to it of some sort if not able to as currently set up?
