    Hi,

Client database has ballooned to over 4.6 GB in size. We’ve tried recommended steps we found in other threads, but nothing seems to work.

If we delete the TranslatePress plugin, and delete all the associated tables, and do a clean install, is there a way to import translation strings without all the extra data that caused the massive db size?

Or do you have any other recommendations?

    Hello there,

Thank you for letting us know about this!

Did you tried our function called “Optimize TranslatePress database table”?

If not, try this function and check if the database was cleaned.

Regarding translations, unfortunately, for the time being, we don’t have support for importing/exporting translations.

This is a tracked feature and will be available in the future versions of TranslatePress – but, as there are other features more requested that require prioritization, I can’t give you a timeframe for when will this be implemented.

If the problem regarding your database is not solved, please open a ticket to us so we can investigate this further:https://translatepress.com/support/ask-a-presale-question/

    Thank you for understanding.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Anghel,

Yes we’ve tried the Optimize function. We have a message that says:

“Database optimization did not complete successfully. We recommend restoring the original database or trying again.”

Clicking the link goes to the optimize/update database page which doesn’t seem to do anything or maybe times out.

I will open a ticket on your website shortly.

    thanks.
