Learnpress – unable to view sample course

Hi, trying to evaluate this plugin for my wife’s business, and to enable me to do so I wanted to install it on a fresh test WordPress install and give it a run with sample data. I asked for sample course when I installed via the wizard, setup the default pages, but I cant see any of the course – just a blank page.

I have tried reinstalling 3 times (WP and LearnPress) to no end.

I can see the list of courses and lessons in the backend, just nothing up on the front end anywhere

Please help me to figure this out

Which theme are you using?

Just using the default 2019 WP theme at this stage. Like I said, it is just to mess around with to see if it is going to work for us.

Can you give me the error message in error log file to check?

The debug.log file shows nothing it seems. I have set the home page to the automatically generated /courses page that Learnpress creates but there is nothing showing even though all the sample course entries are present in the backend.

I even added to test text to the courses page that it created and that did not show up also on the live site.

Very strange.

Hi sashton, sorry to know you’re having a problem. I’m expreincing the same problem. could you solve your problem? I would be so happy if you share your expreince.

Hi zahra997, unfortunately I have heard nothing at all from these people since the last entry 2 weeks ago.

I am disgusted with their support tbh when, especially during these times of global lockdown and trying to find ways of doing things online, a plugin listed with wordpress.org is so thoroughly ignored by the devs.

zahra997 – there is an update to install on the plugin. Go to your plugins and run the update – mine is working now.

dear sashton thank you for sharing the information, I didn’t get any help from support team neither, and I did update it yesterday but didn’t solve the problem. but I found another way and I came to tell you but luckily your problem is solved. I changed my theme and then it worked. I wish you the best of luck.
