I had no response I told my host t bring back the site back before 10 August. Now it working.
WPbaker also comented on this problem as well.
The issue at your end is arising from one of the plugins which is dependent upon “jquery-migrate” which is no longer enabled by default in WordPress 5.5.
This plugin in-turn is affecting WPBakery Page Builder and causing the issue with backend editor.
To fix this, install the plugin: Enable jQuery Migrate Helper (https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/) so that there is no such issue, until the plugin which causes the issue releases an update with a fix.

After updating the plugin code with the new versions of these (https://api.jquery.com/unload/) i still see no change.

On my Host I have Jetpack installed, So I used my back up of last week. I could not fix it with plug in. I will not update WP5.5 and NextGEN 3.3.10
We do apologize for the created inconveniences. There are definitely a couple of important issues since the latest NGG and WP 5.5 updates. The first thing that I would try is to switch to a different lightbox effect since Facybox is problematic. You can change it to lets say SimpleLightbox ( that got fixed in the last update ) from “NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Lightbox Effects”

Thanks for your report. This looks like a legit issue that our developers will want to fix in the next update.
Hi I have a problem with WP5.5 breaking my envato plugin called “remix” on my website origin-records.de: I can no longer edit/delete anything in my playlists.
So I installed this tool offered here “enable-jquery-migrate-helper” and it did help a bit visually but newly uploaded audio files don’t play anymore.
I tried to update the plugin and the whole site went black. Uploaded a backup and now wonder how this problem can be fixed. codevz is unresponsive…
