Large Data User Sumbissions Never Arrive
-
Hi Ali,
We briefly chatted about this a few weeks ago – as you may recall, I’ve got your form generating a front-end band post, which works great – sometimes. Other times, it never arrives from the submission – it just disappears. Usually, my small test submissions almost always arrive. But if I add a few small video files and audio files and 25,000 text characters, it’s then just random whether it arrives or not. Some big ones do, some big ones don’t. It seems the larger they are though, they are more likely to fail and disappear. I tried all the PHP suggestions you mentioned, but my server guys say they are set fine and it must be something else. I did send you a screenshot of all my PHP settings.. I hope you received it? Also, the exact same large data submitted with a different form plugin (Forminator) at the same time always sends and receives it perfectly absolutely every time, which suggests it’s not my php settings?:
Also.. The character counters on the text input boxes seem to still be very inaccurate. I have limits of 300, 2000, and 20000 characters set on 3 text boxes, and they each report a red error message and won’t send the form, even when I am at 175, 1580, and 17645 characters.. all WAY UNDER the set limits – they are always wildly random numbers too, that stop the form from sending. I’ve done this on 4 different browsers, and on 3 different computers – all with the same error.
One more thing: the input areas on the form are any random characters.. So for a phone number, just typing anything e.g. “CATS” is accepted. But would making it ONLY numerical for phone numbers be better?
Thank you, Stu.
