Language Switcher not working for PolyLang

    I have tried all the suggestions in the FAQ https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/polylang/

    However my language switch is only partly working.

    When I switch from French to English (clicking the language switch link) the menu appears in english.

    However as soon as I click any of the links in the English menu, the menu is switching back to French.

    NOTE: I have correctly set the local of my english pages using a filter in functions. php so I see at the to of the pagE:

    <!doctype html>
    <html lang=”en_US”>
    <head>

    All content on the page is in English, but the French menu is being displayed.

    Hi shev72,

    Please can you disable Max Mega Menu and see if the menu starts working then? It seems like the menu is incorrectly configured, or PolyLang is not correctly rewriting the links (possibly due to the use of a caching plugin).

    thanks for your follow-up: I disabled the caching plugin (autoptimize) but result is the same.

    I also disabled MaxMegaMenu and result is also the same. When you say menu may be incorrectly configured, can your provide more detail? I am not sure what to try, I followed and checked the instructions on the FAQ.

    I can also post a support request to PolyLang.

    Hello again, seems like I have to set the language individually for all pages. The answer for my question is here:

    I close this topic. Perhaps the above link can be added to your FAQ to cover cases such as mine where polylang is added to a site which already has many pages.
