Could you please specify which language selector you are referring to? This will help me better understand the issue and guide you accordingly.
The language of instruction, used to be among the taxonomy options like setting the course category, the tags etc… There was an option to set the language of instruction as well. That taxonomy has disappeared in both the backed and front-end course builder. This is not related to translation.
