    Hi,

    I did install the plugin
I tried switching back now to recaptcha v2. I’ve copied the V2 key’s I got from Google into integration. I’ve tried it with switching the recaptcha version to default and to V2
I’ve added the [recaptcha] tag in the form.
But I keep getting the same message that it has failed sending and I should try again.
When I take out the recaptcha tag there is no issue.

There isn’t a recaptcha showing in the form on the webite, can that be the issue?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

By the way, you need to click the button to get the form. If you look at the source code you’ll see:https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js?render=6LdwrBcUAAAAADBfVGCf8l34ttIoapO_A7QHSw30&ver=3.0

Do you notice the ver=3.0 at the end? Some how it seems like version 3 is still active. Do I need to switch it off somewhere?

I have stopped using contactform 7 and switched to wpforms for now, so the test will not work anymore since I’m deinstalling the plugins.

@mrroy44 We apologize we couldn’t address your question sooner. The reason you’re seeing the ver=3.0 is because whenever you create your reCaptcha API Keys via Google you need to specify for it to be reCaptcha Version 2 otherwise it will default to version 3. Once you’ve done that and followed the installation instructions the script should show ver=2.0, the reCaptcha should appear, and everything should work as expected.

Since it appears you’ve moved over to WPForms we wish you the best of luck and will mark this issue as resolved. Have a wonderful weekend!

I did specify version 2 in google. But like you say, since I’m using wpforms now, this issue isn’t relevant anymore to me at this time. Thank you anyway for your reply. Have a nice weekend too.

Same thing happening here. I specified V2 in Google Admin console, copied the V2 api keys, set the pluggin to use V2 recaptcha and it’s still trying to get https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js?render=6LfECUkUAAAAADuxo6gx-9V0xatKPvazklTRHvDQ&ver=3.0

The only solution is to disable recaptcha or move to another plugin 🙁
