• Hello,

I have 700 rows in my wp_options table that begins with jetpack_nonce_ and a 21 digit random number.

I have no Jetpack plugin installed, so I was thinking about this plugin.

Am I right and do I need this?

    thanks

    Jochen

  • Hi @gmmedia,

If Jetpack is not installed on your site, the jetpack_nonce_ entries in your wp_options table are likely leftover data from a previous installation or another plugin that interacts with Jetpack’s API.

Could you confirm whether Jetpack was ever installed on your site? Additionally, please share your system status report by going to WooCommerce > Status > Get report > Copy for support and pasting it at https://pastebin.com.

    Hello,

I had Jetpack never in use. But I found now the table _jetpack_sync_queue. I remember that Google for WooCommerce wanted to install Jetpack for a Beta feature. Maybe I have clicked on that link and uninstalled it immediately. I don’t remember.

    Hi @gmmedia,

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify, Jetpack does not need to be installed for you to see its associated tables or rows. Some plugins rely on these tables and continue functioning even without Jetpack.

To optimize your database, you can use plugins like WP Optimize, which can remove tables that are not linked to any active plugins. However, I wouldn’t recommend manually deleting any tables, as they might still be in use by a plugin.

    Thank you.

But where are the jetpack_nonce_ entries from?

    Hello Jochen Gererstorfer,

    Thank you for your reply.

But where are the jetpack_nonce_ entries from?

Please note that plugins that require connection to WooCommerce.com to function may create jetpack_nonce_ entries.

    Yeah I not that.

But is Google for WooCommerce creating this entries?

    Hi @gmmedia,

Google for WooCommerce might be generating these jetpack_nonce_ entries, but other plugins that use Jetpack services could also be contributing to them. I can’t say for certain that the ones you’re seeing are specifically created by Google for WooCommerce.

To ensure these aren’t leftover entries from previously installed plugins, you can use WP-Optimize to clean up your database. This will help remove any residual data from old plugins.
