iThemes Security Plugin Error

    I’m getting an error message when have iThemes Security activated after a migration to a local machine:

    Cannot run iThemes Security. Error encountered during setup. Please try deactivating and reactivating iThemes Security. Contact support if the error persists.

Unknown character set: 'utf8mb4_unicode_ci'
The itsec_dashboard_events table is not installed.

    I deactivated, reactivated, then reinstalled, and am still having this error. My database collation is set to utf8mb4_general_ci, and I already tried changing it to utf8mb4_unicode_ci. Is there something else I can perform to fix this issue?

    If I’m not mistaken ‘utf8mb4_unicode_ci’ is a collation not a character set …
