Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Price Calculator Performance – I’ve passed this feedback along to the developer responsible for the Flexible Quantity plugin. This is not a bug, but rather an area where we could optimize the database queries and JavaScript execution to improve performance. We’ve added it to our internal list of potential enhancements for future updates. If we proceed with this optimization, I’ll make sure to inform you.
Stock Validation Issue – You’re absolutely right; the system should not allow orders exceeding the available stock. This is indeed a bug, and I’ve reported it to our development team for analysis. They will investigate the issue and release a fix in an upcoming update. I’ll update this thread as soon as I have any news regarding this issue.
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Kind regards,
In this video, I’m addressing a problem with the product ordering system where customers can add multiple quantities of the same item, even when it should be restricted. I demonstrated how changing the quantity allows for multiple orders, which isn’t ideal for our template. I suggest we disallow this method to improve the user experience. Please take a look and let me know your thoughts on this issue.

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing the issue.
The plugin is functioning exactly as it should. It does not allow adding the same quantity (or dimensions) of the product twice. This is how the Flexible Quantity Calculator plugin was designed to work, as described in the official documentation here.

If you would like to restrict the ability to add multiple units of the same product to the cart, you can easily do this within the product settings. Simply go to the product edit page, navigate to the Inventory tab, and check the “Sold individually” option. This will ensure that only one unit of the product can be purchased at a time.
Please let me know if you have any more questions or if there’s anything else I can assist you with.
Kind regards,
I’ve tried. Sold individually option inside inventory tab on product edit page has no effect whatsoever when a template is enabled for the product.
Anyway, this is secondary issue. Can you please give an estimate for how long will it take to resolve cart validation issue?
Thank you
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
The behavior you’re describing is actually the intended functionality of the plugin. When the Flexible Quantity (FQ) template is applied to a product, the product’s individual WooCommerce settings—such as the “Sold Individually” option—are no longer enforced. This means that customers can add multiple quantities of the same item.
However, if you want to restrict purchases to a single quantity per dimension, you can set “Sold Individually” at the Flexible Quantity level instead. This will ensure that a customer can only add one unit of a specific dimension, but still allows multiple purchases of different dimensions.
As for the cart validation issue, I believe the fix should be ready within the next two weeks. I will keep you updated and let you know as soon as the update is available
Thank you for your patience, and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
