    I can not longer using the old StageShow plugin and I am still looking for an alternative. Seatkit plugin is very interesting, but it’s still a very new. It’s still missing a lot of features, such as the ability to skip online payments and secure a seat with a simple reservation. I tried activating the test mode, but I still get the “authentication failed” error. Furthermore, there’s no way to download sales/reservations to an Excel spreadsheet. The plugin seems designed for bus trips, not for theater events. If the author works to improve the events section, it will be a plugin I can use to manage my theater’s reservations.

    Hi @sarkof, thanks for checking out SeatKit and sharing such detailed feedback.

    You’re right — SeatKit is still new, and some features you mentioned (like reservation-only bookings, Excel export, and stronger theater-specific flows) aren’t fully there yet. The free version is currently more trip-oriented, but improving event and theater use cases is very much on my roadmap.

    The “authentication failed” in test mode isn’t expected — that’s a bug, and I’m working on fixing it.

    If you’re coming from StageShow, I understand your expectations. SeatKit isn’t a drop-in replacement yet, but it’s actively evolving, and feedback like yours directly helps shape where it goes next.

    A few of the things you mentioned have actually been improved in the latest update (v1.0.2). Booking export to spreadsheet and some corrections to the bus/event booking flow were fixed there.

    Regarding reserving seats without immediate payment — SeatKit does support reservation/hold style bookings, but those are part of the extended Pro features. The same applies to cinema-style layouts and the advanced seat hold system.

    About the authentication error in test mode, that usually happens when the test keys are not set correctly. If the issue continues, please open a support thread and we’ll help you check it.

    SeatKit is still evolving and feedback from users running Booking related businesses like buses, trips, theaters or events is very useful for improving this plugin.

    Hi acgadi,

    i tried the export feature ad is working but to use your “export format” i need to re-work the file just to adapt the file to my excel spreadsheet. But this work is in charge to me.

    In your reply you mentioned “reserving seats without immediate payment” as an extended Pro features and you mentioned “cinema-style layouts and the advanced seat hold system”. Can I have a chance to try those interesting features in free mode for a while?
