I have a Nextcloud instance that authenticates users against LDAP. This results in a CalDAV url that does not use the username but a UUID instead.

For the authentication the Nextcloud username is still needed in Fluent Booking.

It would be great to have an optional field for the user ID besides the username. If it is filled the CalDAV URL is built with the user ID instead of the username.

    Hello @jolentes,

Thank you for sharing the detailed information. At the moment, Fluent Booking builds the CalDAV URL using the provided username, and there isn’t a built-in option to use a separate user ID (such as a UUID) for constructing the CalDAV endpoint.

Since your Nextcloud setup relies on LDAP and generates CalDAV URLs based on UUID instead of usernames, if you’d like, I can submit this as a feature request to our R&D team for further investigation and potential future implementation. Please let me know if you’d like me to proceed with this request.

    Best regards!
    Ruman Ahmed.

    Hello @algorithmsunlocks

that would be great. Please submit the feature request.

Any Nextcloud instance not using local users will face the same issue.

I can help with testing if needed. I work in IT Software projects for almost 25 years now.

    Kind regards,

    Jörn
