Hi, I have had the same problem…
I hope receiv information about taht from team support.
Bye
Hi all,
There may have been a change in the mapping API that is used by this plugin. I was able to replicate the reported issue this weekend, but have not been able to replicate the issue since then. It seems the issue is resolved, but I don’t want to mark this topic as closed or resolved until I can get confirmation. Are either of you still having the reported issue?
Thanks,
Hi,
thanks for getting back to me. No, the issue is not resolved; it has not changed at all. I deleted and reinstalled the plug-in 6 times over the last couple of days. I read all the support stuff I could find. Nothing. I can’t even begin to understand how this works. I downloaded it – the insert map button pops up, I click it, I get a pop up screen with 2 commands- “insert map” or “create map”. I click on either one- nothing happens. I have been intermittently screwing around with this for 5 days now and unless I am doing something blindingly obviously stupid I cannot figure out what I am supposed to do and have essentially ditched the entire idea of trying to put Arcgis maps on my blog. I thought it would be straightforward but it has not been. Do I need to do something besides download and activate i.e. put some key in somewhere or set up something else? It doesn’t prompt me to do anything so I do not know if I even have it installed properly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Gdenton,
Sorry that you are having an issue. I am going to continue to try to replicate the problem on my side. Are you currently using WordPress 4.1.1? I want to make sure I am testing against the same version. I am also checking for any possible conflicts with major plugins. It definitely sounds like the issue is with the plugin conflicting either with a version of WordPress or another plugin that is installed.
If the plugin were behaving correctly, then after clicking to insert a map, you would be presented with some recommended maps and a search box to find more public maps.
Thanks,
Yes I am using WP 4.1.1 . I do have a Google maps plug-in, WP Google Maps, and a Google Maps Widget. Not sure if they would “interfere” somehow with the functioning of the Web Map plug-in.
Thanks for the feedback!
I am going to make sure there isn’t a conflict with any of the plugins listed and, if there is, I will patch the conflict. It will be after 5pm central time before I can most likely dig into the issue, but I definitely appreciate you providing information to help me get to the bottom of this issue.
Thanks. This plug-in would be a major enhancement to my blog and I am really excited to try it out hence my frustration at not being able to figure out what is wrong. I look forward to hearing back whenever you get a chance.
I wasn’t able to really dig into this until the weekend. A patch was just pushed live. Could you update to the latest version of the plugin and let me know if this resolves your issue? Thanks so much again for the feedback.
Hi
Thanks for your effort. It works! downloaded a map and previewed it and it showed up right in my post just as I hoped. Thanks again
GD
No problem! I’m marking this as resolved. Feel free to create another topic if you run into any further issues.
