I assume you already have it working, but it is rewrite rules that need to be updated after activating the plugin and adding posts.
You can do this on Settings > Permalinks and saving the settings twice (yes, twice).
It working only the plugin’s previous versions. I did rollback, thats why now it is working. The problem is only in the latest version.

I don’t understand which change in 1.2.1 would cause this.
Is it possible for you to install the plugin Query Monitor and see if there are PHP errors?
Also, which PHP version are you using? I see the Sydney theme is active. And the shortcode is used inside a widget from SiteOrigin, correct?
If I can reproduce the problem I can probably find a solution.
I seen a bug report where you solved an import problem. Maybe there will be the problem, but i don’t know.
Before 1.20 i tried rollback to 1.16, the import function worked, deleted all the entries, tired 1.20, and again worked. But i seen the problem only in 1.21 maybe the rollback 1.16 made the magic, maybe the 1.20
I can install the qhery monitor, but this site is running, and users want to see theese games, i can’t upgrade to 1.21 while the team championship is going in my country.
Yes, you seen it well: We use Sydney (with child theme) and SieOrigin pagebuilder. BUT your plugin can’t use the pagebuilder, only the visual and html editor.
We use PHP version 7.3.17
if you give me an email adress i can give you the site’s almost entire copy (i’ll remove the newsletter data and any other users data) (which i make with duplicator plugin), there are no secrets in it.

Is there a method to list games only from a specific category? I seen, that the plugin can manage categories, but i can’t find a solution to use them like in a list with shortcode

I set up the copy of the website, but it simply works for me. No error message in Query Monitor either.
I am using php-fpm version 8.0 with Apache.
I am sorry, I wish I could reproduce the problem, but it works with 1.2.1 and with current git.
About the category, I could add that to the shortcode as a parameter.

Hi, for the shortcode there is now support for category and tags. The right format is part of the FAQ:
= I only want to show games from a category or tag. =
You can use a shortcode parameter for showing games only from certain categories or tags:
[chessgame_shizzle_simple_list category=”213,212″ tag=”345,355″]
In case you read this on wordpress.org, the quotes are supposed to be standard double quotes, no backticks.
