Image Display Modification

Need help with image display.

My post’s main image is 1280×720. I put it as an inserted image at the top of a new post (with the More underneath it). Then, in the blog section, all of the posts’ images display nicely along with their titles. I do not use a featured image.

When I use the Search feature, the posts show up but no images show up.

When I remove the inserted image and use the featured image instead, it does not display the entire image without the cut-off overlay in the blog section nor in each post. But the featured image does display fully in a search result with the post.

I can’t seem to get everything I want.

I would like when someone clicks on my blog post listings, the title along with a nice full non-cut-off image appears per post. And when you go into the main post, a nice full non-cut-off image appears at the top. And when someone searches, the image appears with the title.

Is this possible with Sela and some additional CSS? Thank you.
