I can’t log into clients account

Hi Everyone, I am a web designer who is working on a project for a client whose former designer passed away from COVID.

I can’t seem to access her account even though the username / email address and password are correct.

What might be the issue and how can I get help?

If the userid/password were correct, you should be able to login, so let’s assume they’re not. This article lists several completely different ways to reset your password. Any one of them will work and do the job. Find the one that’s right for you and use that: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

@sterndata I tried to log into WordPress.org with the clients email address/username and password and it says the username and password are not even registered.

logins here have NOTHING to do with logins on your own website(s).

I’d advise you to check the website database if the user you are trying to log in with exists… and try login in with the given password… If the password doesn’t work.. You should consider resetting the password from the database. Quite easy
