    Dear All,

    got a task for maintenance of a previously created multisite in WordPress. After accessing the administration, I found out that I cannot access the “Plugins” module for activation and deactivation of the plugins. I also cannot see the link for accessing the “Network admin”.

    Can you, please, provide any suggestion in order to solve this out? Is there anything in the web source configuration or database settings that I need to set or modify? Please, try to be as much specific as you can…

    Thank you in advance!
    Warm greetings,
    Ivan

    Is there anything that I need to enter in the db in order to make my current admin user to become super admin or network admin? What and where exactly should I insert or modify?

    Thank you 🙂

    Dear webdesignerchristian,
    you gave me a good direction to research. You were right. My user was not network admin. I had to create (manually, directly in the database) another user that has network admin privileges/permissions.

    Here is the solution:
    http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-an-admin-user-to-the-wordpress-database-via-mysql/
    And, at last, I had to add my new user in the “wp_sitemeta” table, in the “site_admins” field. This is my entry there:
    a:1:{i:0;s:5:”test1″;}

    I cleaned the cookies and refreshed and logged-in with the new user “test1”. It is OK now.
    Thank you very much!

    Kind greetings,
    Ivan
