• Hi everyone. I am using Limau Orange on some of my sites and I am finally starting to get some design things figured out.

I really like this theme, but some of the code isn’t as cut and dry as some other themes I have used.

I have found that I have had to even add some code rather than just being able to edit it because it wasn’t there in the first place.

Right now I have 2 main things I need to figure out. The first is that my hyperlinks aren’t appearing any different than any other text on the site. So I need to figure out how to make that happen by like having the hyperlinks underlined and possibly a different color.

The second thing is on the left side of my site I have my pages. When you go over the pages then you get these blue lines and in some cases double lines and I just don’t like the look of that. I would rather have those have some type of hover effect where maybe a light colored transparent box appears or maybe the text change color.

LOL, I hope someone is able to make sense of what I am asking and I haven’t then just ask and I will answer or explain better.

Also let me know if I need to copy/paste my .css file. I didn’t just want to put all types of stuff up without you telling me what was needed.

Thank you to anyone that is able to help me with this. It is very much appreciated.

    Ace

  • if you post a link to your site, there is no need to post the css files.
without a link there is not much of advice to give –
as most people will not be famliar with your theme or will not have it installed.

LOL, yeah I meant to do that but I am doing 5 million things and it just slipped my mind…..

    The site is: http://www.fishandhuntamerica.com

I actually made some adjustments after looking at a cpl. of sites and have kind of figured some stuff out, but still want to make some changes….

The links are blue and underlined and that is fine….

When you roll over it changes to white. Not sure if that needs to be changed to a different color or not, I will take suggestions….

The visited color is purple and I definitely don’t like that, so i would like to change but can’t find where. I imported a piece of the page into Photoshop and it says the color purple is #551a8b and I don’t see that anywhere.

Anyway, I think I am on the right track now. Hopefully you can help me get it figured out and it shouldn’t be too painful.

O.k., I found out where I change the hover color. I will still take suggestions as to what colors to use.

I still need to find out where to change the visited color. I hate the purple.. I will keep looking though.

o.k., got that done too. I added a line of code for visited…

Hope I didn’t waste anyone’s time. I guess talking it out and looking and trying out things was the trick for me….

I am sure I will have other things to figure out though..

O.k., back again and I cannot figure this out…..

I have my hover color and all that good stuff exactly the way I want it with one small problem.

When you roll over a link, it changes to the hover color I have defined. Then if you click on that link, it changes to that color I have defined.
But after you click and it changes to a visited link, it will no longer change colors when you hover over it.

I still need this to happen so the links stand out even once they are visited.

Please help… It is 10:50 e.s.t. and I have got to take a 3-4 hour nap. I will come back here first thing when i get up to see what you guys have come up with.

Again, thanks a bunch to anyone who helps me..
