    Is there a reason that HyperDB has _not_ been upgraded in the WordPress plugin directory download? trac has 1.3, but WP plugin directory 1.1

    According to the plugin’s page:

    Active installations:
    Fewer than 10
    Requires WordPress Version:
    2.3
    Tested up to:
    4.3.12

    Is there a reason that HyperDB has _not_ been upgraded

    Plugins / themes in the WordPress plugin/theme directory are upgraded by their developers. It’s up to the developers.

    It’s possible the developer has abandoned this particular plugin. WordPress has placed a warning at the page which reads as follows:

    This plugin hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

    That page also states that the plugin is Tested up to: 4.3.12

    Yes. However, their trac shows a version 1.3 that is tested all the way up to 4.7.3. It is just not pushed to the plugin directory and I am wondering why not. It is maintained by Automattic so I thought this would be an appropriate place to ask…
