There’s a ton of settings in this plugin, but no simple way to disable image optimization. I saw another post on this question, a year and a half old, that said just turn off “Auto Request Cron” and “Auto Pull” … but there is no “Auto Pull” setting. How do I simply disable image optimization (I’m using another plugin for that)? Also, if some images were already optimized by LiteSpeed, do I need to use “Remove Original Image Backups”? Will that affect the images optimized by the other plugin?

Under “Image Information” it says “3%” and “Image groups total: 8493 groups” and “Current image post id position: 4700” and “Maximum image post id: 130679”. I assume this means it has optimized some images. I know it’s not good to have two plugins doing optimization, so how can I safely disable this one and get it back to a place where I can restart the other plugin?

no , better don’t “remove original backup” , you should click “destory all optimized data” to remove our image optimization , then set auto request cron to OFF , since there is no request, then no pull ever happens , this will not do any image optm operation anymore unless you manually click the big blue “send” button

Couldn’t find “destroy all optimized data” at first, as it is off to the side in the settings. Leaving that undone caused our Redis object cache to malfunction, causing a fatal error that crashed the site. That was quite a shock, is there a warning about that anywhere in LiteSpeed documentation?

Anyway, all is well now. Thanks.

it’s on the right-bottom corner of image optm summary page

I am not sure about the object cache part, but the php error log should log something as what exactly went wrong.

“It’s on the right-bottom corner of image optm summary page” … I know now, but I was looking through settings.
