please assist i need to know what to do here

I presume you want to delete the advanced-cache.php, and not the plugin? You can’t delete the advanced-cache.php because some other plugin created it. This plugin is very careful not to overwrite that file.

If you’re 100% sure you can overwrite it, you’ll have to do it manually. Either by writing some PHP code to unlink the file or through some file manager on your hosting. This plugin won’t delete it.

    good day

please can i have assistance here to get the plug in to work or to get it deleted? see screenshot from 1st query logged

The error message displayed on your site tells you what to do. There’s a wp-content/advanced-cache.php on your system created by some other plugin or your host. Try delete it yourself and the plugin will work.

    hi

i went into the wp-content file and there is no file listed. the advanced-cache.php has no files in it at all sitting at 0kb

i did see in wp-content that litespeed and jetpack still had files there eventhough i had deleted the plug ins, i have now deleted these from the wp-content file.

this is my personal website that i am working on so i am not to clued up on any of this yet, learning everyday.

i just need some clear instructions on what i should do next? any guidance will be greatly appreciated?

    Hey @luluacza,

If you can’t find the file related to the advanced-cache.php in your WP Admin, and can’t find any related plugins to delete that might be related to that, you may want to access your site via FTP. From there you can manually delete such file from the wp-content folder.

If you don’t know how to access your site’s installation via FTP, you can ask your host, and they should be able to help you go through it. If the file has been created by your host itself, they can assist you too, so contacting them sounds like a good idea anyway πŸ™‚

Hope that’s all clear and helps!

    Hey @luluacza,

Do you have updates about that, do you still need help? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!
