• Hi all,

I have 36 webpress sites hosted on HostGator. On checking CPU Load % sometime I found it being quite high in a short period. Please advise how to check which websites were hacked ?

Can I check it on cPanel -> Metrics -> Raw Access ? If YES, please advise HOW?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

Why are you assuming this is a hack?

Are you using a security plugin?

Wordfence, WP Cerber, etc are running on all websites.

I have monitered continuouly for a week on those websites with high Disk Usage on Raw Access and found hackers using BOT continuously attacking them but stopped by the security packages.

There’s not much you can do about bots hitting your site unless you use an external firewall like Cloudflare or Sucuri — then the traffic never makes it back to Hostgator.

Also, being probed by bots is not the same as being hacked.

    Thanks for your advice.

Sometimes they tried to login but failed. Hostgator will complain on high traffic.

I have no experience using external firewall. I’ll try to learn using them.
