    I’ve got an HD quality youtube video, and changed a profile to use embedplus with HD checked in the profile, thinking that the HD quality will be shown. On a Mac OS X computer with firefox, I get 240p. With Chrome I get 360p. Flash version shows as 11.5.31.2 for chrome, 11.5.502.110 for firefox. Any way to force HD mode? Is it broken in some way? On windows 7 with firefox is does not show HD video either. Oh, and the video is available in 720p and 1080p, but neither is selected.

    YouTube makes the decision as to which to show and there’s no way of forcing it. It takes into account video size, bandwidth (theirs and yours) amongst other things.
