Had to disable Page Cache

After updating to 9.5.1 my site was completely garbled. Searching through the posts here I found someone else with the same problem. The solution is to disable Page Cache. Disabling it does stop the site from being garbled rubbish but what is the point of using W3TC if page caching cannot be used. My Google PageSpeed insight results have plummeted. Is there a better solution
