• Was a great plugin that had all the features until they did an update in 4.3.9 that forced you to pay for the required features, it’s useless without it. Go back to 4.0 to switch everything on again then back to 4.3.8 prior to when it says Go Elite. Unfortunately you won’t get more free updates after then so stay away if you want a plugin that works completely free. Absolute con, thought this plugin was it until they did that, this is like theft or or being pushed into a corner, I mean after we had done all this work using the plugin you’ve backstabbed us. You should let users that installed it prior to the payment version have it for free as that is very unfair what you have done!!! Or at least had warned us that this is the way it was going to go i.e. free for a limited time.

  • I agree! If I didn’t check my feed I would never have known. I wonder how many other users of this plugin aren’t aware of the changes.

    Hi Tim & Djsieff,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. oOur apologies if you feel mistreated or misinformed.

We believe our plugin, the support and the extra features are well worth the license fee. Besides the main and most important features remain free and as a result our free plugin is still, by far, the best one out there.

We have been communicating that some of the features eventually would become part of the Elite version of the plugin for over half a year already also from within the plugin itself. When you decided to use them you were notified of this. We also gave a heads-up of over a month and offer a voucher-code for the users who want to switch to the Elite version.

Tim: we noticed you have just signed-up for the Elite version of the plugin but did not use the voucher-code for existing users so we will undo part of the payment and wire it back into your account.

    Have a wonderful weekend,
    Eva

    Eva,

Thank you for applying the voucher. I was not aware there was one available.

    Have a great weekend!

Try putting yourself as a web developer that found a great plugin for a client and now have to convince them to buy it, this is just a scam! And where have you been communicating, I get no emails from you? Even your main website does not indicate a paid plugin, it’s not until you go into the plugin and see it on there that it is requesting payment, but been on automatic updates and not monitoring, why would I be monitoring a trustworthy plugin that you think is free until you get backstabbed one day and you’ve lost all the work you’ve put in then slapped with a bill of $250 AUD cause I need it for 2 sites just to get it back, on top of that trying to convince a client more money, you guys just don’t understand! And this market ploy should not have been done in this sly manner. Then you mention a voucher, what voucher? No communication total lies, what are you even offering to try get us out of this situation? Is this now an annual fee or one off with forever updates.

    Hi DJSieff,

Not sure if responding is going to contribute to this discussion but I am going to give it one last try.

On all pages of the plugin settings there has been a permanent WordPress notification stating that some of the features would eventually become part of the Elite version of the plugin. Since you seem to be using some of these features you must have seen this notification as is has been there for close to 8 months already. Over the last 6 weeks we replaced that notification stating that the deadline would be the 4th of February. Giving users enough time to either come up with an alternative solution, move to a different plugin or use the voucher code that we provided in that notification.

With all do respect: having your plugin’s on automated updates is no excuse to never go into any plugin anymore and not read any notification. That is your decision, your responsibility. It is most likely also the reason you missed out on the voucher that was in the notification and so many other plugin users did use, Anyhow, like stated before, you seem to be using some of the Elite features so you must have seen this notification.

And of course you do not receive emails from us. I am sure you are aware of the European GDPR-laws and WordPress-guidelines that specifically forbid plugins to grab email adreses and start emailing users out of the blue?

Last but not least you feel the urge to call us liars. I would like to ask you to refrain from doing so as that is not contributing to the discussion at all.

    Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
    Eva

If you create websites for people you do not monitor their plugins or website unless it’s required. What version did you start notifying people and what version did it say the 6 weeks? Also where’s this voucher that has been mentioned?

We release multiple new releases every week, you would have to read through the release notes to see what was released exactly. That being said, it won’t help because the voucher-code has expired already.

Please reach out to support@adtribes.io if you would like a new voucher code.

    Eva
