Frontend Users and Simple Local Avatars

I was looking to move the profile page onto the front end of the site and all features work aside from the Avatar function.

It displays in a normal manner and allows me to chose a file and even press update and the page refreshes normally as if everything has worked, aside from the fact the image has not uploaded and subsequently not saved.

If I go into the ordinary edit profile page in the admin area it all works fine. This is an issue for all user classes including Admins
