• Hi,
can someone work this out please!!! I have been uploading images to a site that I have sitting on my computer using Wampserver and Apache (so it’s offline, being developed). A) At a point midway through some media uploads it suddenly stopped uploading and the initial message on the blank images was ‘not permitted for security reasons’ …so I worked on that for a while and got it to drop the message, but still no uploads. B) Then, I purchased a new plugin and so that downloaded to my computer. I went to install the new plugin…browsed to the file to install and …the “file exceeds max_file_size” in php.ini. The only problem is that it doesn’t! It is way smaller!! I have edited php.ini and also .htaccess without any result.
Are A and B related?? If so, it seems that I am blocked from uploading anything directly from my computer!
What I am I missing here? Have I deactivated all plugins and gone through that process? Yes! Makes no difference. Do I have a caching plugin – no.
Should I be looking at Wampserver perhaps?
    Any ideas gratefully received.

An update – I have fixed the upload issue! I reset the max-file size in every conceivable file including the theme functions.

The upload of media is not quite fixed – it seems that perhaps the images are uploading, they are just not generating thumbnails in the upload window or in the media library. Full size images are in fact present.

Is there a way to force thumbnails? A much easier question!
