Hi, I’ve been getting “File does not exist. Error code: 7” when creating Download Link under ‘Add New Download’. My download URL links from Google Drive and Storj definitely works when I paste them onto my browser.

I’ve saved the permalinks page a few times but still getting this error.

    Thanks.

Glad to help. Please let me know the basic steps to repeat the error on default WordPress. That will enable me to investigate and try to resolve any issue asap, thank you.

Hi Jeff, I’ve only just installed the plugin, saved permalink then tried to add download link which pops up with error. I tested it again, it works if I upload a local file but it doesn’t work with the external URL download links. Thanks

Ok, so I am not able to repeat the issue on default WordPress. Have you double-checked to make sure the download/post is published?

I’ve checked download link and download posts are definitely public, the error occurs as soon as I hit publish. Might have to try a different plugin. Thanks

Is the error happening for all external file URLs, or just some specific location?

Hi Jeff, I worked it out, looks like the error occurs when the external URL is a .zip folder, it worked when it was just a .PNG file. Thanks.

Ok good to know. I will investigate external ZIP files next opportunity. Thanks for the update, and feel free to post again with any further/related information. Cheers, @skhl.
