Fetured Slider only appears in 'Customise'

    So I just started making a new website.
    I updated WP to 4.3
    I have installed Sequel(1.0.1), Styles(1.1.10) Styles: Twentyfourteen(1.0.2), Twentyfourteen colours(1.2) and Fourteen Extended (1.2.33)

    I am having an issue with the featured content – slider.
    I have added two posts, gave them a ‘featured’ tag (to match the one in customise options) and added a featured image for both. I think it was working at one point, but I’m not entirely sure now.

    The issue I’m having is that the featured slider doesn’t appear. However when I go to ‘customise’ the slider appears! Once I exit the customise options – it disappears again. I have tried changing the tag and changing it back as I saw it helped some people, but nothing. Still slider only appears in customise options.

    I hope someone can help me as it makes no sense.
