Fatal Error – Failed opening folder

Hi all, so I have very little knowledge of WP and running things, I am only doing the website myself as my developer went AWOL just before it launched a few years ago. since then it has been faultless until an update of WP & Woo Commerce.

my website now cannot be viewed and this is the white screen and text that shows to anyone who visits
