    Lately the plug crashes with this error:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home6/XXX/public_html/SSS/wp-content/plugins/simple-membership/classes/class.swpm-auth.php on line 354

    Been using for a while, too.

    The PHP version of your server is too old. Please contact your hosting provider and request them to upgrade the PHP version to a more recent version. You won’t see the error after that.

    Looks like they’re/I’m using 7.0.25 – I will see if there is anything more current.
