Hello, @sub2assassin, sorry you are experiencing an issue with the plugin. I cannot reproduce the issue using the same link that was not working on your site on another test site.
The link works as expected on a test site.

You may need to check other plugins on your site to see if any other settings are preventing external links from opening.
Try the external link with an HTML code without using any plugins and see if this works.

Hello @skpatil, sorry you are experiencing this issue. Please deactivate and reactivate the plugin. It seems like the page that handles the quick download button might have been deleted.
Reactivating the plugin will re-create the page, the page ‘Quick Download Button’. Please let me know if this will not solve the issue and I will look more into this for you.

@kusimo it seems i too had the same problem…the page gor deleted and when i reactivated it, now it does work perfectly.
One question i have is…is the page private or I’ll have to no index it manually.
@sub2assassin, thank you for asking this question. To prevent this page from being indexed by search engines, you need to do it manually. Additionally, you can change the name of this page to anything you want once the plugin is activated.
If you experience any problems after changing the page name, simply deactivate the plugin and then activate it again.
In future updates, I will include a feature that will automatically add a no-index to this page.

Hi @skpatil, I’m sorry you’re still having problems. To fix it, please follow these steps:
- Deactivate the plugin.
- Reactivate the plugin.
- Check if the page “quick download button” exists on your site by typing in your site URL and adding “/quick-download-button” to the end of it. For example: https://lifestatus.in/quick-download-button
- If the page does not exist and you get redirected to your homepage or a 404 page, it means that the page has been deleted. In this case, deactivating and reactivating the plugin will recreate the page.
- Let me know if this solution works for you. If not, I’ll investigate further.
