Howdy @terrim
Thank you for reaching out regarding this.
Just to clarify, how was the export file created? Furthermore, how is that exported file being imported back in WooCommerce? Utilizing the Import & Export buttons, available above the products list under Products > All Products, as showcased in the screenshot linked here, or otherwise?
Additionally, could you share a copy of that exported file, after redacting sensitive information, please?
We will be standing by for your response.

Hi Pepe
Thanks so much for the reply.
The file was exported via the website using the product export button (as seen in your attachment). I then imported the file utilising the Woocommerce import button.
Please find the export and import files here:
Export: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Bv8QYTt6Lta_-QufD3bfv1Fm9NjwhPcl/view?usp=sharing
Import: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NVJOrF2xus4lT-_HLkhy1cKhXdiA1Byz/view?usp=sharing
These are a some of the IDs we are having issues with: 33546, 39287, 39288, 39289, 39290, 33543. Basically the Attribute 1 name does not update after the import so it breaks the variable dropdown on the website.
Thank you
Hi there @terrim
Thank you for reaching back, with further information on this.
From what I gather, the AN column is populated as it should in the exported file. Therefore, pasting only the BY column values from the “Import” file into the “Export” file should be sufficient.
Could you try only that, on a staging installation preferably, with the product values as they were just before the export file was created, and see how it goes, please?
I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know. We’re happy to help.
Hi there @terrim
A quick follow-back. Feel free to refer to the official documentation, which I am linking below:
https://woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/
Also, just to note, it is OK to remove the bulk of the columns from the .CSV file to be imported (to remove, for example, columns B to AM), as the ones to be imported would be mapped accordingly with the field selector, upon importing the file.
I hope that helps!

Hi Pepe
Thanks so much for the reply.
We will try this but are still confused as to why the Attribute 1 name is not importing correctly, what could be causing this? It’s breaking quite a few of our product pages which have variations listed on it.
Thank you
Hi there @terrim
Just to clarify, what are the steps you are following?
Also, with which values are you trying to import, those in the Export file, or the Import file? As I understand, in the >6000 entries listed in the file(s), there is almost always “Specification 1” entered in the Import file.
We will be looking forward to your response. Thank you.
We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
