    Hello @ph59,

I hope you’re doing great today!

Could you please check, whether “Excerpt” option is enabled in the Post data field settings: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#post-data-labels

If it’s enabled, but excerpts still do not appear, could you please share your form export for our techs to have a look? You can share it via Google Drive, Dropbox, or a similar cloud service.

Here’s how to export the form: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#quizzes-admin-features

    Best Regards,
    Dmytro

    Hi @ph59

I tested your form on my lab and excerpt works as it should. Please note that showing an excerpt on the front end will depend on how your theme is built, and sometimes it can take the main content 1st paragraph or cut the main content after 40 signs, for example.

Can you share with us your page URL where you display your post and the name of your theme so that we can review that? Please note that if this is a paid theme, you will need to contact the theme author and communicate this issue with them or ask for a solution to display the excerpt instead of the main content.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

    Hi,

I see the excerpt in the confirmation email sent by Forminator to the admin. Before going any further, I should add that I need my posts’ excerpts to appear as the posts’ head paragraph for each of them on the website’s frontend. Is that how it is supposed to be with Forminator post form?

If it is, then I should also add that on my theme (Generatepress), head paragraphs must be set as Classic blocks in Gutenberg. This allows them to appear on their own on the homepage to signal what the post is about (see onehomeplanet.com)

If “mutating” the excerpt field in a Forminator post form to a Classic block in Gutenberg is not how this works, we can leave the issue at that and I will set my excerpt/head paragraphs manually.

    Hello @ph59,

I hope things are going well for you.

I should add that I need my posts’ excerpts to appear as the posts’ head paragraph for each of them on the website’s frontend. Is that how it is supposed to be with Forminator post form?

Regarding this, it depends on the theme and post template that the excerpt block displays on the Frontend. GeneratePress offers an excerpt below the image. Here you can refer to the screenshot for settings: https://monosnap.ai/file/HD5XA1u3EWwpjS1R1Am6UZ71uqsFk8

The best course of action is to review the Post template, where you can customize and add the details as you want. When the guest submits the post, Forminator will follow the post template to display the details.

    Hi Imran,

I will see with Generatepress what can be done.

    Thank you.
