I have File Monitor installed and working fine, it scans and sends reports as expected.

But when I try and save the settings (from any of the four tabs) I get a WordPress error: “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

The email that follows includes this info:

    Hello @moholkar

I am really sorry to hear about this experience!

I have reviewed the error stack provided which was very helpful, and I noticed an error which comes indeed from our plugin, and for which we have created a patch which I am sure will fix the error.

You can download it from our website here under the name of “Patch for error when saving settings – build 20250319 “ (check bottom page)

It is an updated version of the plugin with the fix, so to install it:

    1. Navigate to the plugin’s page in your WordPress dashboard
    2. Click Add New and then Upload Plugin and upload the patch zip file
    3. Click Replace current with uploaded when asked if you want to replace the current plugin installation

The fix will also be included in the upcoming plugin update, so you can safely update once the new release it’s available.

Let me know how it goes after trying the patch.
