    Good morning everyone,
    we have an error on canonical link this:
    http://https%3A%2F%2Fwww.grandhotelcastrocaro.it%2F

    plugins are Yoast SEO Premium version: 21.6 and
    WPML: Version 2.1.0

    we can’t understand why on page load the canonical is not published correctly while after a refresh it is written correctly like this:

    Google penalizes us by publishing in SERP Title and Description of the Home page in English

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thanks for reaching out regarding your canonical URL and I can confirm what you described. First, do you have the WPML SEO installed as it makes your multilingual site compatible with Yoast SEO?

    Thanks for the confirmation. We have seen unexpected issues where the previously optimized data is invalid or incomplete. website. Please try the following:

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations‘, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation‘, and ‘Reset Internal link counter‘ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that the specific reset was successful.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

    Please let us know if the reported issue remains after resetting the optimized data.
