Purchased their Novel Writer Pro template and declined the bundle of all their pro templates.

Once installed, non-stop ads in the dashboard for the bundle and no apparent way to turn them off. Delete the message and seconds later it pops up again, taking up a large part of the top area.

Zero response during their business hours to their support chat, and email, though received emails pushing the bundle upgrade.

The template on surface looks good and was considering recommending it in an upcoming book, but no longer due to the ads.

Further to this. I finally received a reply only after lodging a complaint with the payment processor. Their immediate request after being supplied with screenshots was to demand administrator access. As this site was being worked up on Local, I declined to give an overseas based company with no discernible reputation access to our internal network. The only further response thus far was to again demand administrator access.

My belief is, that the theme does not take it upon itself to begin spamming with an ad for their more costly offering. It had to be programmed by them and they must be able to give a simple yes or no to it being able to be disabled.

Their ‘refund policy’ is basically ‘no refunds will be given’. Other theme developers on WordPress. org I have checked all appear to have a generous refund policy.
