Edit table options/features/ without loading table?

    I have a table with 1700 rows, and 18 columns.

    Loading the table settings screen (https://_____/wp-admin/admin.php?page=tablepress&action=edit&table_id=15) times out.

    I would be great to be able to load the table settings, but not the table, if you only want to change 1 little setting, for example something under “Table options” or “Features of the DataTables JavaScript library”.

    With my large table, I had to import a blank excel file to overwrite the table, change the setting I wanted, import the original data again, and check if it looked allright online.

    Please tell me there is another way 🙂

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    I know what you mean, but unfortunately, this is not so easy to solve, both from the perspective of user interface and the internal saving process of TablePress. My idea therefore is to make the “Edit” screen much faster for larger tables, so that this change should not be necessary. However, this will still take time.

    In the mean time, the approach that you are using as a workaround is the best here.
