Hi @dirvish42 ,
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand that updating WooCommerce to its latest version has resulted in a critical error on your site when creating or editing a post. Also, it appears that deactivating WooCommerce resolves this issue, yes?
I’d suggest performing a full conflict test to see if there are any theme/plugins which may be conflicting with the latest version of WooCommerce.
To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.
If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.
If you don’t want to test on your live site, then create a staging site using a plugin called WP Staging.
Should the issue persist, please can you share the following, so that we can have a better understanding of your sites current environment:
- System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select
Get system report and then Copy for support.
- Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.
Once you have these, please share them in your response here.
Cheers!
Yes, deactivating woocommerce resolves the issue.
Same error with Storefront.
I tried deactivating plugins and here’s what I found:
If either WooCommerce OR WooCommerce Blocks is deactivated I don’t get the error. If both of them are active I get the error.

Hi @dirvish42 ,
Thanks for providing an update!
Do you perhaps have the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin installed on your site?
If so, please can you try updating Facebook for WooCommerce and see if this resolves the issue you are experiencing. This was a known issue with WooCommerce Blocks and Facebook for WooCommerce and the latest version of Facebook for WooCommerce (3.0.14) contains the fix for this, which you can see here.
Additionally, please can you check that the WooCommerce Blocks plugin is also updated to its latest version (9.7.0).
If this is not related to your current issue, please could you share the information requested previously:
- System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select
Get system report and then Copy for support.
- Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.
Additionally, please can you share a screenshot of the error you are seeing on your end.
Snipboard.io can be used for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on that page, then paste the URL in this thread.
Cheers!
Yep, that took care of it. Thanks!

Hi @dirvish42 ,
Glad to hear that updating did the trick!
I will go ahead and mark the thread as solved then. If you have a few minutes, we’d love it if you could leave us a review:
