Question About Script/JS Support in Maintenance Page

    Hi,

    I’ve been adjusting and improving the layout for the maintenance page that customers see. I notice there are HTML and CSS sections available, and I’m wondering if there is also a Script section that supports JavaScript.

    At the moment, I’ve had to implement some ideas in alternative ways using only HTML and CSS, since JavaScript didn’t seem to be supported — for example, a countdown timer. I’d like to implement these ideas using JavaScript along with the HTML and CSS inputs, which would give me more flexibility for creative features.

    Sorry, but no, we do not support JavaScript due to security concerns 🙁

    @talextech Ah, okay… that’s a shame 🙁 . I really wish it supported JavaScript, as I had some great ideas for it. I understand the security concerns — thanks for clarifying 🙂. I ended up using HTML and CSS with a workaround for JavaScript, spent a couple of days on it, but I’m happy with how it’s turned out. It would have been nice to add some extra features with JavaScript 🙁, but it’s all good.
