Hi @olivewood, thank you for taking the time to report this issue. Is there a public page where we can check what is going on? Is the demo site working for you are is it equally broken? Thanks!
Thanks for your response. No public page as yet. However, I tried your demo page using three different browsers and the popups did not work (all enabled for popups). I also have tooltip and footnote plugins on this staging site and their popups work fine.
Are you using a desktop computer (or laptop) with a touch screen?
I’m using a desktop with touchscreen and another screen added – not touchscreen. It’s running Windows 10. I’ve tried Firefox, Chrome, and Edge, all with the same result (no Wiki popups). It works fine with touch or click, just not on hover. I get the impression the app is intended for phones only even though it is advertised with hover capabilities. On the PC, the original popup was large, covering the whole of the bottom screen and anchored at bottom-left. But I managed to size it and center it using CSS. All looks good except for the hover issue.
Hi @olivewood,
It is our understanding that the popup works as expected on touch devices (phones, tablets) and non-touch desktop computers but struggles with devices with both touch and pointer capabilities. In your case it functions always in touch mode, meaning it shows on tap and looks like a bottom drawer.
We’ve known this issue for a long time (see task T257574) but had never received any user feedback about it. We’ll consider fixing it for the next release.
Thanks again for your feedback
