Different view in widget?

    I would like for the default view on the main calendar page to be the list view, with the option to switch between views. And then the widget, which will appear in the sidebar of the home page of the site (when it’s published) to be the grid view. Is that possible?

    The client also requested that the calendar page be able to list all events for the year. But when I add the mini-calendar widget to the site’s page sidebar, it lists 12 months in grid view, which is horrid. Is there any way to have the widget display just ONE month, but have the main calendar page display 12 months of events in list view by default?

    Each view can be customized as you need. The default view can be set in the calendar settings on your calendar page, and the widget view is independent of that.
