I’m not entirely sure what you mean. But if you mean, does it display different on an iphone than a Galaxy… no. I think even tablets can display the AMP version…

The system does not send out two emails (thankfully!) but notification abuse is a real thing.

Why? The person posting the topic, if they have a problem will subscribe to the topic. You really do not need to ping people that way.
Unless they posted something such as a login or password (it’s happened) just reply normally without the ping.
But, if someone forgets to tick the box saying they want to be notified of replies,,, then without the @ … would they still get a notice?
